Position Details The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of Calumet Park is now accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Police Officer.

Testing is being conducted to for an immediate need to hire and to establish an Eligibility List for future hiring needs.

The Calumet Park Police Department, in partnership with their community, is committed to maintaining the peace, protecting life and property, and providing professional law enforcement and crime prevention services.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:
Citizenship:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Driver's License:

Must possess a valid Driver's License at the time of application with the ability to obtain an Illinois Driver's License upon time of hire.

Age Requirement:

Applicants must have attained their 21st birthday by the last date for filing applications (9/30/26). Must be under the age of 35 years on 9/30/26 and when final eligibility register is posted unless exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10 - 2. 1-6 which provides, in part, that the age limitation does not apply to any person previously employed as a certified full-time Police Officer for a municipality in the U.S.

Education:

Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement.

Residence:

Officers employed by the Village of Calumet Park are required to reside within Cook, DuPage, or Will County.

P.O.W.E.R
Card:

Must possess a valid

P.O.W.E.R.

Card issued between the dates of 9/30/25 and 9/30/26.

Testing:

Must be able to successfully complete all phases of testing which may include, but not limited to, a written examination, oral interview, extensive background investigation, and post offer psychological, and medical screening.

All individuals meeting eligibility requirements are encouraged to continue with the application process.
