Job Overview Join our dedicated law enforcement team as a Police Officer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and serving our community with integrity and professionalism. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to engage in proactive policing, criminal investigations, traffic management, and community outreach. As a Police Officer, you will utilize your skills in law enforcement procedures, emergency response, and conflict management to create a safer environment for all residents and visitors. Duties Enforce local, state, and federal laws by patrolling assigned areas to deter and respond to criminal activity. Conduct thorough criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings through detailed report writing. Execute arrest procedures with adherence to legal standards, including search and seizure laws and use of force protocols. Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing first aid when necessary using CPR and first aid training. Manage traffic flow, issue citations for violations of traffic laws, and conduct surveillance operations to monitor suspicious activities. Handle evidence law compliance during investigations and ensure proper storage and documentation of evidence. Engage in conflict management and de-escalation techniques during volatile situations to maintain peace. Operate standard passenger cars safely while adhering to driving regulations; handle firearms responsibly in law enforcement contexts. Conduct searches for suspects or evidence following procedural law requirements; participate in criminal procedure activities. Assist with animal handling when necessary, ensuring humane treatment during investigations or rescue operations. Support community safety initiatives such as loss prevention, security patrols, and local ordinance enforcement. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership skills and familiarity with police procedures. Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedural law, animal care regulations, and local ordinances is essential. Proven ability in report writing with attention to detail; experience with criminal investigation techniques is preferred. Physical conditioning that allows for sustained patrols, quick response times, and effective engagement in physically demanding situations. Training or certification in firearms handling specific to law enforcement standards; use of force training is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance technology, search and seizure laws, traffic laws, criminal procedure, and evidence collection methods enhances effectiveness on the job. Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly while applying procedural law knowledge; experience in loss prevention or security roles is advantageous.
