Non-Certified Pay:

Starting at $21.60 per hour. Built in overtime pay with opportunities for more. Uniforms and Equipment provided by the department. Must become KLETC certified within the first year of employment. Vacation, Sick leave, Personal leave and Bereavement leave. Blue Cross & Blue Shield Health Plan, with an optional Health Savings Account. 401 K and Voluntary 457 Retirement/Deferred Payment Plan. Uniformed First Responder Profit Sharing Retirement Plan. Police Officer 2:

Certified Pay:

$22.22 - $32.53 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications) Built in overtime pay with opportunities for more. Uniforms and Equipment provided by the department. Vacation, Sick leave, Personal leave and Bereavement leave. Blue Cross & Blue Shield Health Plan, with an optional Health Savings Account. 401 K and Voluntary 457 Retirement/Deferred Payment Plan. Uniformed First Responder Profit Sharing Retirement Plan. Work Schedule Bi-monthly Night/Day rotations, where officers work 12-hour shifts for 7 days in a 14-day period. Including every other 3-day weekend off.
