The Iron Mountain Police Department is looking for a qualified candidate to become a Full Time Police Officer. We are looking for a candidate with positive and professional demeanor, good moral character, and sound judgement. The Iron Mountain Police Department is a 24/7 department, working 12 hours shifts, with every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday,) scheduled off.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) license is preferred, although not required. If you are not currently license, you will be required to attend a Michigan Law Enforcement Academy of the Departments Choosing. Candidate sent through an academy of the Department's choosing will be sent through at no cost to the Candidate, and will be paid throughout the academy. Prior to the date of hire, selected candidates will undergo and must successfully pass a drug test, psychological exam, and a thorough background investigation.BENEFITS
Officers are provided all uniform and duty gear. Paid holidays. Paid vacation, sick leave, funeral leave, and personal leave. Paid insurance, with opt out plan if qualified. Extensive continued training. Hybrid defined benefit pension and defined contribution retirement plan. Pay up to $32.82 per hour ($68,265.60/year), with overtime opportunity available.HOW TO APP LY
