Job Description
The St. Anthony Police Department is seeking motivated, community-oriented individuals to join our team as a Police Cadet. This part-time, uniformed position provides valuable hands-on experience while supporting police services in St. Anthony, Lauderdale, and Falcon Heights. Cadets work up to 29 hours per week on flexible schedules that may include days, evenings, and weekends. We recognize the importance of academic success and work collaboratively with cadets to accommodate educational commitments and POST eligibility requirements. Applicants must be enrolled in a POST-eligible law enforcement program or related field with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027 or later. The position offers mentorship, professional development, and practical law enforcement experience. Cadets assist with community engagement, administrative functions, traffic and event support, report preparation, crime prevention activities, and other police services. Tuition assistance may also be available to help cadets meet educational requirements for Minnesota POST eligibility.
