Job Description
The Mount Vernon Police Department is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Patrol Officers . As a Patrol Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and building strong relationships within our community.

Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and ensure public safety Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service Conduct traffic stops, issue citations, and investigate accidents Investigate criminal activity, gather evidence, and prepare reports Enforce local, state, and federal laws Conduct arrests and transport individuals to appropriate facilities Engage with the community to foster trust and positive relationships Testify in court proceedings when necessary Perform other duties as assigned by the departmentQualifications:
