Police Cadet

City of Salem, Mo is looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Police Cadet. The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently with minimal supervision. Are you interested in a career in law enforcement? The Salem Police Department is looking for a qualified applicant for the position of Police Cadet. A Police Cadet is responsible for going to a POST approved Academy, sponsored and paid for by the Salem Police Department. Upon successful completion of the academy, Police Cadet will receive a promotion to Patrolman. The Salem Police Department will cover all costs of the academy including Tuition, Equipment, and Full Wages. Cadet will receive full benefits package upon successful completion of academy and Class A POST License. Requirements Attend full time Missouri Police Officer Academy and follow the structure of the academy schedule. Provide self with transportation to academy. Maintain a professional appearance with respect to department and academy policy. Valid Missouri Driver's License Highschool Diploma or GED. Be able to pass background check, drug screening and criminal history check. Flexible to work all shifts and be able to multi-task. 21 years old or older.
