Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer to join our department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our community by monitoring activities, preventing incidents, and responding to emergencies. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and conflict management, ensuring the safety of individuals and property. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity or disturbances. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, providing first aid and CPR as necessary. Enforce laws and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required to ensure community safety. Document incidents accurately and prepare reports for supervisory review. Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Experience Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred. Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is essential; certification is a plus. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must be United States citizen Must have valid high school diploma/equivalent Must be a graduate of a basic law enforcement training center and has passed the Missouri Peace Officer License exam Must have no criminal history as outlined in Section 590.080.1 and Section 590.100.1, RSMO Contact Chief Charles B Pratt with any further questions. 573-471-8568
