Hourly Responsibilities:
The officer is responsible for protecting life and property utilizing effective crime prevention techniques, and apprehending criminals. The officer will enforce university, state, and applicable federal laws, regulations, and policies. The officer may be assigned to traffic and crowd control as well as securing buildings after business operations have ceased. The officer must be able to act soundly without direct supervision and to exercise independent judgment in dealing with emergency situations.Qualifications:
Must be physically fit and be able to walk, run, climb, and crawl to the extent prescribed by the Board on Law Enforcement Standards and Training. Candidate must have good verbal communication as well as written communication skills. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle including a car, truck, golf cart, ATV, bicycle, or other all-terrain vehicles.
