Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of a Police Sergeant the Police Recruit will attend peace officer basic training program that meets the requirements of Ohio Revised Code Section 109.77 for Peace Officer Certification. Performs other work as requested.
Essential Functions:
Enrollment in peace officer basic training program that meets the requirements of Ohio Revised Code Section 109.77 for Peace Officer Certification.
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License, Have no felony convictions, Be 21 years of age at time of appointment and be in the process of obtaining a State of Ohio Certification as a Police Officer. Requirements during Application Process include application, background check, departmental interview, and pre-employment polygraph.
