Job Description
Essential job functions and requirements include: Perform police patrol duties, investigations, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activities. Class 1 Certified Police officer through the SC Criminal Justice Academy. Must be of good character and sound judgement. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be at least 21 years of age and a U. S. Citizen. A 12 hour rotating work schedule is required. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving history. No felonies, crimes of moral turpitude, or misdemeanors that carry a year or more sentence. Must have favorable credit report. Must be able to clear physical medical exam and psychological exam. Must be able to complete the civil service exam (written/comprehension test, physical agility test, and oral interview).
