Aledo Police We are looking for a Police Officer to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Please see attached Job Description and Aledo ISD's current Compensation Plan for Police Officers. 195 day calendar This position is grade 6 on the attached pay plan.
Primary Purpose:
The District Police Officer shall be responsible for handling law enforcement and police related matters at District facilities and events as outlined in the Texas Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, District's Board Policy, Departmental Rules and Regulations, and as directed by the Chief of Police. The District Police Officer is responsible for working cooperatively with the school administration, students, staff members, other District police officers, and other local, county, and state officials to maintain a positive, safe, and secure campus or event environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Texas Peace Officer license issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Intermediate Peace Officer certificate and/or 5 years Peace Officers experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of criminal investigation, criminal laws, and police report writing Bondable as required by Texas Education Code §37.081(h) Ability to pass required physical, psychiatric, and drug tests Ability to work well with both youth and adults, as well as District staff and peers Ability to remain professional at all times and de-escalate situations as they arise
Experience:
Background in law enforcement or related work experience Please see attached job description for more details.
