Job Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
: Assists the regular members of the Cleburne Police Department in the enforcement of the law and maintenance of peace and order. Depending on their level of training and experience, reserves may be assigned to work with a regular police officer, another reserve, or function in a solo status. Reserves are expected serve a minimum of 16 hours of duty per month or 192 hours per year, special events and call outs. Applicants must successfully complete the selection process as specified by state and local rules for the appointment of peace officers. Reserves must be appointed by the Chief of Police and approved by the City Council before discharging official duties as a peace officer.
