The City of Fort Worth Municipal Court Pay Range:
$36.54/hr.Job Posting Closing on:

Sign-On Incentive:

- This section is responsible for maintaining the physical security of the Fort Worth City Hall, the Public Safety Building, and other facilities and parking areas. Deputy Marshals assigned to this section also work as bailiffs. As a Bailiff, Deputy Marshals are responsible for maintaining the decorum of the Court and the safety of staff members and the public. Warrant Section
- This section brings wanted parties before the Court. Deputy Marshals assigned to this section work with the Fort Worth Police Department to arrest wanted parties, enforce traffic laws, and respond to radio calls for service as needed. Lake Patrol
- This section enforces maritime laws at Lake Worth and assists the Fort Worth Police Department by responding to calls for service. The primary goal of the Lake Patrol is to ensure a safe environment for the public on the lake and in the surrounding parks. The Lake Patrol is also responsible for search and rescue efforts and emergency response on the lake and surrounding waterways. Bike Patrol
- This section patrols the downtown city campus, including City Hall, the Public Safety Building, and the associated area.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED Two (2) years of experience in a law enforcement related field, or security of governmental buildings/structures, or relevant active duty military police experience Valid driver's license Valid Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Peace Officer's License Must pass physical, swim and rowing testPreferred Qualifications:
Intermediate Texas Peace Officer's License or higher Higher education achieved in a law enforcement related field Completed minimum TCOLE training hours for the training cycle and continuing education Marine Safety Enforcement Officer Certification Firearms proficiencies in pistol, shotgun, and rifle platforms Bilingual skillset The Deputy City Marshal II job responsibilities include: Operates security screening checkpoints; searches and inspects persons and their property entering secure facilities for prohibited weapons, explosives, and other contraband Serves as court bailiff in assigned courts and performs related duties; ensures the safety and security of the courtroom, jury, and trial participants at all times Responds to emergencies and incidents in the Municipal Courts, City Hall Complex, and in/around Lake Worth Transports prisoners to and from surrounding jurisdictions; ensures proper restraint of prisoners during transportation Conducts traffic stops and investigations, enforces various traffic laws and water or boating laws, and issues citations as required Detains, questions, and investigates persons suspected of violating specific court orders Serves warrants, arrests persons named therein, and testifies in court when required Completes and maintains accurate reports, inventories, and documents Assist the Fort Worth Police Department with the transportation of persons with Fort Worth Class "C" warrants Working Conditions and Physical Demands Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, swimming, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting. Medium work- Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
