Job Description

The New Summerfield Police Department has an opening fro a full time patrol officer. Salary will be based on experience, education and training. This position is responsible for protecting and serving the citizens of New Summerfield, Texas by patrolling, solving community problems, performing preliminary or follow-up criminal investigations, handling traffic control and enforcing local municipal ordinances, federal laws and state laws. Full Time w/benefits; employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance; TMRS participation of 7% with a 2/1 match; paid vacation and sick days; and 14 paid holidays.
Qualifications:
Must be TCOLE Certified Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and have a good driving record Must not have been convicted of a felony at any time or a Class B or above in the last 10 years Must be a United States Citizen Must have an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, if applicable Must be able to pass the following: Full TCOLE Background Investigation, Oral Board and drug tests
