Intermediate or above Peace Officer's Proficiency Certificate issued by TCOLE. Out of state transfers will need to obtain this certificate within six months of starting employment as a peace officer in Texas. Experience in supervising Peace Officers to include report and citation review and approval, security systems management, fleet management, personnel matters. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of modern law enforcement, traffic control, and patrol services. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. Preferred Qualifications 60 College Credit Hours / Associates Degree TCOLE Master Peace Officer Proficiency Certificate. Previous work experience in higher education policing or equivalent police agency. Special Skills (FTO, Bike, TCOLE Instructor, etc.). Job Description Responsible for protecting life and property, preventing crime, apprehending offenders of the law while providing a safe environment and serving the public.
