Duties:
Performs law enforcement duties to safeguard the lives, property, and legal rights of county residents. Responsibilities include executing civil processes such as summonses, writs of possession, foreclosures, and restraining orders; conducting warrant-related arrests, transports of in-custody subjects, along with other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with weekends and holidays off. A take-home vehicle is provided. Prior civil process experience is not required. The position may also involve assisting the patrol division with service calls as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Must meet all requirements of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Rules and Regulations (TCOLE). MUST be licensed as a Peace Officer in Texas at the time of application submission
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age. Must be a Current Texas Certified Peace Officer. Have a valid Texas drivers license. Must pass background check, records check, psychological test, drug test and physical examination including vision and hearing tests. Able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays. Must pass the Grayson County Sheriff's Office Physical Readiness Test.
