The Sunnyvale Police Department is growing and we want you to grow with us!
Hiring Pay Rate:
$72.450.00 - $77,610.25
Full Pay Range:

Minimum Qualifications:
TCOLE Basic Peace Officer Certification Must be 21 years of age Valid driver's license Applicants without experience must pass entry level exam and physical agility
Automatic Disqualifiers:
Class B conviction within ten (10) years of date of application. Family violence conviction. Incomplete or falsified application or personal history statement packet Conviction, deferred adjudication, court-ordered supervision, awaiting trial, or in the appeal process of any offense higher than a Class B misdemeanor. Currently on probation or under indictment for any criminal offense. Discharge from the military under less than honorable conditions including certain other characterization of service indicating bad character, bad conduct, dishonorable, and other than honorable condition. Admission of illegal use of any kind of drug within three (3) years of date of application. Any illegal use of PCP or LSD regardless of time. Any illegal use of a felony-grade substance as defined by the Texas Penal Code or Health and Safety Code within ten (1) years of date of application. Extensive use of any illegal drug will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Factors considered are number of times, length of usage, time elapsed, and lifestyle improvements. The sale/manufacturing/distribution of any substance subject to control under the Texas Controlled Substance Act regardless of time.
