Job Description
Reporting directly to a Sergeant, responsible for serving criminal and/or civil processes as issued by the judicial system, as well as enforcing local, state, and federal laws. Delivers, executes, and maintains records of a variety of process and court orders, including warrants of arrest Performs all law enforcement functions including enforcing laws/ordinances, performing traffic stops, making arrests, and responding to public service calls as necessary Collects fines, seizes property, and conducts evictions under court order Investigates, locates, and apprehends warrant subjects based on arrest warrants issued from both inside and outside of Williamson County Prepares affidavits and correspondence addressed to various courts, attorneys, and the public Provides security during Justice of the Peace court sessions Maintains crime scene security Investigates complaints of environmental crime violations and coordinates charges with the County Attorney's office Testifies in court as necessary Performs special duties as assigned

Position involves safely operating a motor vehicle and mobile radio equipment under normal and emergency conditions without any equipment modifications specific to any individual operator Position involves driving and sitting for long periods of time Position involves pursuing violators on foot over rough terrain and obstacles Position involves physically subduing and restraining aggressive violators Position involves discharging a firearm with either hand Position involves hearing audible sounds and speak in a clear, understandable voiceENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Frequently performs work outdoors in inclement weather (heat, cold, wet conditions) Job may involve danger due to contact with criminals and suspectsIRREGULAR HOURS

High School Diploma or equivalent Four (4) years of experience as a licensed Peace Officer See required licenses and certifications belowLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Basic Peace Officer license Required within thirty (30) days of employment Valid Texas driver's license Required within one (1) year of employment Court Security Specialist certification as required by Texas S.B. No. 42, Sec. 158.002 (b)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in a related field Five (5) years of experience as a licensed Peace Officer Three (3) years of continuous civil process service experience Prior military experience Bilingual (Spanish) TCOLE Intermediate Peace Officer License or above Civil Process Proficiency certificationEMPLOYMENT TESTING
