Job Description
Officers must respond to calls and complete reports in a timely manner, enforce criminal and traffic laws, make lawful arrests when warranted, perform building checks, and display proactive police techniques within the City of Van and the surrounding area. Must be present for work and maintain good attendance. Maintain production as a proactive Police Department. Display honor, courtesy, and integrity always. Respond to calls and complete calls for service sheets or reports in a timely manner. Properly collect and log evidence. Attending state-mandated training along with other training classes. Testify in court as necessary. Safeguard life and property. Perform other related duties as assigned. Step pay based on total years of TCOLE certification.
