Are you ready to serve and protect a vibrant, growing community? The City of South Jordan is seeking a Full-Time Police Officer to join the South Jordan Police Department.
What You'll Do:
Patrol all areas of South Jordan to deter crime and assist the public. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, secure crime scenes, conduct investigations, and make arrests when laws are violated. Enforce traffic laws, conduct DUI and accident investigations, and assist motorists. Prepare and submit detailed reports and testify in court when required. Serve legal documents and maintain records of legal dispositions. Maintain issued equipment, including firearms and patrol vehicles. Represent the department positively, through ongoing community policing efforts.
Who You Are:
High school graduate or equivalent (GED). Certified as a Special Function Officer (SFO), or currently enrolled in a certified academy. Valid Utah Class D driver license. Skilled in handling high-pressure situations with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment. Strong communicator with a commitment to responsible service.
