Job Description

The City of Benwood is hiring a full time police officer.
Candidates must:
  • Have a Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Past physical agility test.
  • Pass an extensive background check. (including credit check)
  • Pass a polygraph examination
  • Pass a phycological evaluation.
Successful Candidates will be required to attend the West Virginia State Police Academy. This is a 15 week, paramilitary training program. (You will be required to stay at the academy during the 15 weeks.)
