This position is suited for candidates ranging from newly licensed attorneys to experienced practitioners, particularly those with backgrounds in collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure, civil litigation, personal injury, or criminal defense. The role offers a balanced schedule with regular courtroom involvement, focused case review work, and a manageable permanent workload without billable hour expectations.

Responsibilities:

Represent clients in court several days each week in matters related to debt recovery and related proceedings. Evaluate newly assigned files and determine appropriate legal strategy for each case. Draft, review, and refine pleadings, motions, and other legal documents to support active matters. Manage a steady caseload while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable legal standards. Prepare for hearings by analyzing records, organizing evidence, and developing case arguments. Communicate case progress, legal recommendations, and next steps clearly with internal stakeholders and clients. Conduct legal research as needed to support filings, court appearances, and case resolution efforts. Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in Arizona, or eligibility to practice in the state. Experience in debt collection, civil litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, personal injury, or criminal defense is welcome. Ability to prepare legal pleadings and other court-related documents with strong attention to detail. Confidence appearing in court and handling hearings effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Capacity to work in an in-office setting during the initial onboarding period.
