Job Description Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. Manage cases, deadlines, legal strategy, discovery, pleadings, motions, and related litigation responsibilities. Develop and execute effective case strategies in collaboration with attorneys and clients. Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents. Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Communicate directly with clients and provide thoughtful, responsive legal guidance. Analyze complex legal and factual issues and exercise sound judgment throughout each matter. Manage multiple cases and competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail. Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff. Take ownership of assignments and actively contribute to favorable client outcomes. Qualifications Active member in good standing of the California State Bar. 1+ year of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience required for experienced attorneys; newly licensed attorneys may be considered. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management abilities. Sound judgment, critical-thinking skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively. Strong client-service skills and professional communication. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
