Job Overview:
As Legal Director at P&G in Mexico City, you will lead the legal strategy for business operations in Mexico, providing expert legal advice across multiple areas including labor, compliance, regulatory, and environmental matters. You will manage a dedicated legal team and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure informed and compliant business decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will apply strategic legal judgment to address complex legal issues with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset while ensuring compliance. Your leadership will be key in guiding and developing your team, setting priorities, and managing performance within your scope. Furthermore, you will demonstrate agility and adaptability, navigating changes in regulatory and business landscapes while operating effectively at the Director level, balancing autonomy, escalation, and alignment with senior legal leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the definition and execution of legal strategy covering labor and employment, compliance, regulatory, health, safety and environment, and urban development matters Act as a key legal advisor to business leaders, providing strategic input on legal and regulatory risks and enabling well-informed decisions Lead and manage the legal team, setting priorities, coaching, overseeing workload and deliverables, and supporting team development Partner cross-functionally with HR, Compliance, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Regulatory, and HS&E to integrate legal considerations into business planning Operate with high ownership within the defined scope and maintain alignment with senior legal leadership
Job Qualifications Hard Skills:
Legal expertise in labor, compliance, regulatory, and environmental law Experience managing legal teams and projects Proficiency in legal research, risk assessment, and contract review. English proficiency Background in managing legal risks for companies in the fast-moving consumer goods sector
Soft Skills:
Strategic legal judgment with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work cross-functionally and within broader leadership structures Leadership and coaching capabilities for team development, including priority setting and performance management Agile and adaptable mindset with strong learning orientation to navigate change Nice to
