The position provides the full range of specialized and complex legal services for LACOE, including preparing, filing, and presenting of legal cases to a court of law, judge, or magistrate; researching and providing legal consultation; conducting litigation; and writing legal briefs. Required Education and Experience Education:
A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Experience:
Four years of experience as an attorney providing legal counsel to school districts, governmental agencies or public agency departments or five years of other legal experience in the practice of law.
Additional Requirements:
Current membership in the California State Bar. A valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites.
