Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished legal specialist for our client to oversee a broad range of business-facing legal and compliance activities in Fremont, Nebraska. This position plays a central role in supporting regulatory obligations, contract administration, governance matters, and risk oversight while working closely with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex priorities in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily legal support activities and coordinate effectively with external counsel on matters requiring specialized review or representation.
  • Contribute to the handling of disputes, investigations, claims, and internal compliance assessments to protect business interests and support operational decision-making.
  • Evaluate legal and regulatory exposure across business functions and recommend practical steps to reduce contractual, compliance, and operational risk.
  • Maintain organized legal files, tracking tools, and documentation systems to support visibility, record retention, and timely follow-up.
  • Administer licensing, permitting, renewals, and required filings across multiple jurisdictions while keeping compliance schedules current and accurate.
  • Track changes in applicable laws and regulations, communicate relevant updates to stakeholders, and assist with responses to audits, inspections, and agency inquiries.
  • Prepare, review, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, lease, service, and confidentiality documents, throughout the full contract lifecycle.
  • Support board and committee administration by preparing materials, maintaining governance records, assisting with filings, and contributing to strategic projects such as due diligence and expansion initiatives.
  • Partner with human resources and operations on employment-related compliance matters, workplace concerns, policy administration, training efforts, and process improvements across legal and compliance functions.
