This role is ideal for an attorney looking to transition from a law firm into an in-house environment while remaining hands-on with high-impact employment matters. You will work closely with Senior In-House Counsel on a wide range of employment and labor issues, including litigation, compliance, and internal advisory work. This position is fully onsite (5 days/week) and is not remote. Key Responsibilities Support employment litigation matters, including wage & hour, PAGA, and class actions Assist in managing outside counsel and handling select matters in-house Respond to pre-litigation matters, subpoenas, and agency inquiries (DLSE, DFEH, EEOC) Conduct internal investigations and advise on employment-related risk Review and update employment agreements, handbooks, and HR policies Provide day-to-day legal guidance to HR and operations on compliance issues Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) and active California Bar license (required) 2-4 years of employment litigation experience (required) Experience handling wage & hour, PAGA, or class action matters strongly preferred Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment Prior law firm experience strongly preferred; in-house exposure is a plus Why Join Excellent opportunity to transition in-house from litigation Hands-on exposure to high-impact employment matters Work closely with senior leadership and decision-makers Collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong growth potential Competitive compensation + benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO)
