Job Description

Description A respected Orange County law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who enjoys managing litigation matters from inception through resolution and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The firm is open to candidates with experience across a variety of civil litigation practice areas, including business litigation, employment, insurance defense, real estate, construction, professional liability, and general commercial disputes. Key Responsibilities

+ Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle

+ Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement documents

+ Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive and procedural issues

+ Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences

+ Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis and recommendations

+ Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel

+ Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and trial materials for litigation proceedings

+ Attend court appearances and assist with trial preparation and trial support

+ Manage case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements

+ Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters Preferred Practice Area Experience

+ Active California Bar membership + 3+ years of litigation experience

+ Experience handling motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances

+ Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

+ Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures

+ Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines

+ Strong client relationship and communication skills
