Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least one of the following: A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association. A baccalaureate degree or an advanced degree in any subject, a minimum of one year of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of California A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, a minimum of three years of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of California Candidate must be available to work full-time in person at our Lake Forest office.Experience:
Berger Kahn is passionate about fostering growth and providing experience for recent graduates and those looking to enter the legal industry. No previous experience is required for paralegal certified candidates. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills.Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Transcribe and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Organize and maintain electronic files
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve case information
- Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts or agencies
- Assist with all aspects of litigation, discovery through trial
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Pay:
$21.00- $25.
