The firm serves clients throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding areas, with a primary focus on Criminal Defense while also handling Family Law matters. This opportunity is ideal for a newly licensed attorney or someone in the early stages of their legal career who is eager to gain hands-on litigation experience, develop courtroom skills, and learn from experienced attorneys in a supportive environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCourt Appearances Attend court hearings under the guidance of senior attorneys Handle routine appearances, status conferences, and other proceedings as assigned Gain exposure to criminal and family law court procedures Legal Writing & Research Conduct legal research on criminal and family law issues Assist with drafting motions, pleadings, declarations, and legal memoranda Support attorneys in case preparation and strategy development Discovery & Case Management Review and organize discovery materials Assist in preparing discovery requests and responses Maintain case files and ensure deadlines are met Client & Case Support Communicate with clients regarding case updates and procedural matters Assist with case evaluations and document review Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff Professional Development Participate in trial and hearing preparation Observe and assist with litigation strategy Develop courtroom advocacy and client management skills through mentorship and practical experience Performance Expectations Produce accurate and timely legal work Maintain professionalism in all client and court interactions Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a willingness to learn QualificationsRequired Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the California State Bar 0-2 years of legal experience Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Preferred Internship, clerkship, or volunteer experience in Criminal Law or Family Law Bilingual in Spanish and English Ideal Candidate Profile Newly licensed attorney or early-career professional Motivated and eager to learn Coachable and receptive to feedback Detail-oriented and organized Interested in developing litigation and courtroom skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment What's Offered Competitive compensation Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive mentorship and training Hands-on courtroom and litigation experience Clear opportunities for professional growth within the firm Exposure to both Criminal Defense and Family Law matters
