Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sales, Property, and Local Tax Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse legal matters related to sales tax, property tax, land use, and taxation. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills, extensive experience in litigation and legal drafting, and familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. This position requires a proactive professional capable of managing multiple legal areas while providing strategic advice to clients and internal teams. Prior experience in law office management and legal administrative functions is highly valued. Excellent opportunity for growth and partnership path. Responsibilities Provide expert legal counsel on property law, local tax issues, and related areas Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other resources to support case development Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity Manage litigation processes from initiation through resolution, including filings, discovery, and court appearances Advise clients on land use policies, & regulations, and property assessments as applicable Negotiate settlements and legal agreements effectively on behalf of clients or the firm Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative procedures Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the law office to ensure seamless service delivery Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; Admission to the California state bar is required Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms Excellent legal writing skills with attention to detail in drafting documents Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and handle complex legal issues Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration This role offers a dynamic environment for attorneys passionate about diverse legal practice areas related to sales, property rights, and local taxation.
