Job Description

Not just another boring attorney role
  • a key role at a top tier award winning personal injury law firm What does it look like: Case intake & screening
  • Evaluate new matters for liability, causation, damages, venue/jurisdiction, and collectability
  • Identify standard-of-care issues and potential defendants (providers, facilities, corporate entities)
  • Set realistic client expectations and guide decisions on proceeding or declining Early case development
  • Direct and manage comprehensive medical record collection
  • Build chronology, identify deviations from standard of care, and frame causation theory
  • Coordinate pre-suit requirements as applicable Expert strategy
  • Select, retain, and manage medical experts
  • Prepare experts for reports, affidavits, depositions, and trial testimony
  • Drive case value through disciplined expert and damages development Litigation management
  • Draft and file pleadings; manage discovery strategy; handle written discovery and motion practice
  • Take/defend depositions
  • Prepare for mediation/settlement conferences and negotiate from a position of strength
  • Build trial themes, exhibits, expert outlines, jury instructions, and trial briefs Client experience
  • Maintain consistent, compassionate communication throughout long case timelines
  • Explain complex medical/legal issues clearly and document all guidance Compensation and Benefits package: $130
