Job Description

About the Role Our modern dental practice in Fairfield is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and organized Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will ensure patients receive accurate insurance information before their appointments by verifying benefits, completing detailed insurance breakdowns, and helping them understand their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable about dental insurance, enjoys working with patients, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities Insurance Breakdowns:
Complete thorough insurance breakdowns by verifying eligibility, benefits, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, waiting periods, and plan limitations before patient appointments.
Insurance Verification:
Contact insurance companies and review online portals to obtain accurate, up-to-date benefit information.
Treatment Estimates:
Prepare accurate treatment estimates based on verified insurance benefits and explain patients' financial responsibilities.
Patient Communication:
Answer patients' insurance-related questions and help them understand their benefits, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs.
Records Management:
Maintain accurate insurance information in Dentrix and update patient records as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and the front office team to ensure accurate insurance information and a seamless patient experience.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a dental office (required).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Dentrix software and a strong understanding of dental insurance verification, insurance breakdowns, PPO plans, deductibles, co-pays, annual maximums, frequencies, and plan limitations.

8:00 AM•5:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM•2:00
PM Saturdays:
Up to two Saturdays per month (8:00 AM•2:00 PM)
Total:
40 hours per week
Job Type:

$25.00•$28.00 per hour
