While our firm also practices Probate, Estate Planning, and Real Estate law, this position's primary focus is Guardianship. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys helping families through difficult situations, is comfortable appearing in court, and wants to build a long-term career with a firm that provides the support necessary to succeed. Unlike many firms, you won't be expected to generate your own work. We provide a steady stream of qualified client consultations, experienced legal assistants and paralegals, modern technology, and established office systems so you can focus on practicing law and serving clients. If you also enjoy Probate and Estate Planning, there will be opportunities to handle those matters as well. What You'll Do Handle contested and uncontested adult and minor guardianship matters from consultation through final disposition. Prepare guardianship petitions, emergency petitions, annual reports, accountings, inventories, and related pleadings. Attend hearings throughout Central Florida, but primarily between Polk and Orange Counties. Advise guardians, family members, and fiduciaries regarding their legal responsibilities. Work closely with court-appointed professionals, examining committees, physicians, and care providers. Assist clients with related Probate and Estate Planning matters when appropriate. Build long-term relationships with clients, referral sources, and the community. Utilize the firm's technology, case management system, and document automation platform to efficiently manage your caseload. What We Provide An existing and growing Guardianship practice. Qualified client consultations provided by the firm. Experienced legal assistants and paralegals. Modern technology including Salesforce-based case management, Microsoft 365, and document automation. Administrative support, billing, scheduling, and marketing handled by the firm. A collaborative environment with experienced attorneys. Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing. Experience handling Florida Guardianship matters is strongly preferred. Probate experience is highly desirable. Estate Planning experience is a plus. Strong courtroom presence and client communication skills. Excellent writing and organizational abilities. Comfortable managing multiple active files. Tech savvy and willing to embrace modern legal technology. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Military veterans and former law enforcement officers are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation We believe attorneys should share in the success they create. Compensation includes a competitive base salary together with a quarterly revenue-based bonus program that rewards productivity and client service. Attorneys who maintain a strong caseload have the opportunity to earn substantially above their base compensation. Alternative compensation arrangements, including Of Counsel relationships , may also be considered for experienced candidates.
