10XLaw/Berman Law Group is expanding its Personal Injury practice and launching a dedicated Diminished Value Claims Department . We are seeking an experienced Diminished Value Claims Attorney to help build and lead this new practice area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling automobile diminished value claims , including evaluating vehicle damage and depreciation, preparing and negotiating claims, communicating with insurance carriers and adjusters, and pursuing appropriate legal remedies when claims are disputed or underpaid. Responsibilities Handle a caseload of automobile diminished value claims from intake through resolution. Evaluate diminished value claims and determine appropriate claim valuation. Review vehicle damage history, repair records, insurance information, vehicle history reports, and other supporting documentation. Prepare demand packages and supporting documentation for diminished value claims. Negotiate directly with insurance carriers, adjusters, and opposing counsel. Identify underpaid, disputed, or denied claims and develop appropriate strategies for resolution. Communicate effectively with clients regarding claim status, valuation, negotiations, and potential outcomes. Conduct legal research regarding applicable state laws, regulations, insurance policies, and case law affecting diminished value claims. Draft correspondence, demands, pleadings, and other legal documents as necessary. Track deadlines, claim status, negotiations, and case activity accurately within the firm's case management system. Work closely with case managers, paralegals, and management to ensure claims move efficiently toward resolution. Help establish and improve the firm's processes, procedures, templates, and best practices for the Diminished Value Department. Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail and client service. Qualifications Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Prior experience handling diminished value claims. Personal Injury, insurance claims, property damage, or insurance litigation experience is a plus. Strong understanding of automobile insurance claims and insurance carrier practices. Experience negotiating claims with insurance adjusters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a technology-driven, high-volume law firm environment. Ideal Candidate We are looking for an attorney who already understands diminished value claims and can hit the ground running . The ideal candidate is comfortable dealing directly with insurance carriers, understands how diminished value is calculated and supported, and knows how to effectively negotiate claims. Experience handling claims across multiple states is a significant plus.
