Role Description The Associate Immigration Attorney is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This position involves managing a caseload of immigration matters, including: Handle aspects of removal proceedings Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs Draft and manage asylum petitions Prepare and file family-based petitions Review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments Knowledge of immigration concepts and strategic solutions Prepare and submitting legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases Collaborate with colleagues on cases involving family reunification, asylum, or deportation defense Use case management system/database, various firm systems, and project management skills to monitor case milestones, follow up with clients, and meet both legal and client-relations deadlines Exercise meticulous attention to detail to produce error-free forms, correspondence, and related legal work product Prepare and represent clients at USCIS interviews Other tasks as required to meet client and firm needs Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in any U.S. state (Florida admission preferred). Ability to analyze complex immigration matters and develop effective legal strategies independently. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. Minimum 4 - 5 years in immigration law and related legal issues, in a multi-attorney or high-volume practice. Bilingual in Spanish and English Strong command of family-based, asylum, removal defense, and waiver matters Strong legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills Experience with detained cases and removal defense strongly preferred Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Clear, confident communication skills with clients and colleagues A calm, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Federal litigation experience a plus Federal Habeas Corpus litigation experience a plus Proficiency with cloud-based immigration case management systems
