Who Are We Looking For We're seeking a business-minded Legal Associate who thrives in fast-paced, cross-border environments and is passionate about supporting growth through sound, practical legal advice. You have a strong understanding of commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate law — and you know how to balance legal precision with business priorities. Position Overview As Legal Associate you will provide strategic legal support across our U.S. and international operations. You'll draft and negotiate agreements, manage legal risks, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This role is ideal for a proactive, adaptable attorney who enjoys working in a dynamic fintech environment and partnering closely with business teams. What You Will Do
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements across the United States and other jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Advise management and internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters impacting business strategy, operations, and risk management.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including partnership, payment system, vendor, service, and employment contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, memoranda, and responses to regulatory, contractual, or compliance matters.
  • Support negotiations and oversee execution of agreements to safeguard the company's legal and commercial interests.
  • Maintain accurate records and archives of all contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Draft, review, and issue legal notices, and manage any disputes, litigation, or regulatory proceedings to protect the company's interests.
  • Provide guidance on U.S. and international fintech, payments, and data protection regulations.
  • Advise on card scheme rules, chargeback procedures, and requirements applicable to acquirers and card networks.
  • Handle intellectual property matters, including filings, registrations, renewals, and protection of company IP assets.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions and ensure internal policies remain compliant.
  • Support continuous improvement of standard templates, internal policies, and legal processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (business development, operations, finance, compliance, HR, and marketing) to provide timely and practical legal advice.
  • Communicate legal risks, complex concepts, and compliance requirements in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Work effectively across global teams, time zones, and jurisdictions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Skills & Competencies Required
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Atleast two years of experience in a corporate or a law firm.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or a technology-driven industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High ethical standards, strong business judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with data protection, compliance, and cross-border commercial transactions a plus.
  • Applicants from Miami will be preferred.
  • We operate in a collaborative office environment, so this role requires you to work onsite with our team daily.
