Job Description

Position will work between Orlando and Ormond Beach locations
Summary of Position:
Performs advanced-level professional litigation activities for Security First Managers (Company), with a focus on First Party Property and significant trial experience. This role involves handling complex legal disputes arising from property insurance claims, including trial preparation, courtroom representation, and legal research and analysis. The position requires strong legal knowledge, independent judgment, and the ability to develop solutions to non-routine issues with minimal guidance. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Lead trial preparation and courtroom representation for complex cases. Mentor and support Staff Counsel attorneys, including second-chair trial assistance. Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses and experts, and manage discovery and motion practice. Provide legal counsel on claims and collaborate with Litigation Specialists to develop defense strategies. Promote and participate in settlement opportunities, including mediation and arbitration. Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. Respond to emergency call-ins and support during natural disasters or critical events. Foster a respectful, inclusive, and professional work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school Twelve (12) years of trial experience, including extensive first party property experience and trial work in first party property cases.
Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess a valid state of Florida driver's license Florida State Bar license
