The right candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a compassionate, family-centered approach aligned with the mission of Ronald McDonald House.

Responsibilities include:

Provide exceptional guest service and support Assist with guest needs and requests in a compassionate, family-centered manner Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies while supporting families Perform housekeeping duties, including wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies, keeping shared spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for families May assist with turning over guest rooms as needed Ensure proper guest registration and check-out procedures Learn and use database systems to track guest information and generate reports

Position Overview:

This is a relief position that serves as substitute coverage for paid time off and will typically pick from available shifts that change weekly.

Pay:

$16 - 16.50/hr

What You Bring:

Strong customer service skills with compassion and professionalism. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to learn and work with database systems (training provided). Housekeeping or cleaning experience or willingness to perform duties. Reliable transportation for occasional supply pickups (mileage reimbursed). Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality, decorum, and empathy.

Required Knowledge Experience/Skills:

High School Diploma Required. Two years basic management experience preferred. Must meet healthcare requirements of partner hospital, complete biannual CPR training and annual fire alarm training. Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity toward the intersections of ability, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion/spirituality, and sexual orientation. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience Spanish proficiency/Bilingual ability strongly preferred.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay (RMHCTB) has been working to improve the health and well-being of children and their families since 1980. Our primary program, the Ronald McDonald House, provides a place to stay for families that have children receiving medical treatment at Tampa Bay hospitals and outpatient centers. RMHCTB operates 4 Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay, 3 located in St. Petersburg and 2 located in Tampa.

You'll need to handle sensitive situations with the utmost confidentiality, maintaining decorum at all times. Mental Demands:

The ability to read and comprehend documents and instruments. Must perform detailed work utilizing reasoning and problem-solving skills and complete multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, interpersonal skills at all levels of the non-profit field, and organizational skills. Must be able to serve as a pro-active resource for guests, staff, and community members.

Physical Demands:

This job involves all the following in various degrees but is not limited to only these physical demands: attendance, standing, sitting, walking, squatting, carrying, lifting, climbing, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, cleaning, typing, writing, hearing, seeing, speaking. The ability to push up to 50 pounds and lift up to 40 pounds.

SupervisionScheduling Demands:

Receives light supervision. May require occasional attendance at special events/functions of the organization.

Equipment:

Some of the equipment used to perform this job include computer, printer, facsimile machine, file cabinets, copier, camera, calculator, telephone, scissors, stapler, hole punch, and writing instruments. Common kitchen and laundry appliances.

Special Notes:

The probationary period is 90 days. A review will be conducted by the direct supervisor at 90 days and 1 year; yearly review thereafter with salary consideration by the organization.
