Associate Pastor of Families and StudentsFull-Time w/ Parsonage Lakeside Baptist Church - Albany, GALakesideAlbany.com PurposeThe Associate Pastor of Families and Students will lead a Christ-centered student ministry that equips middle and high school students to live out an authentic relationship with Christ every day. This ministry will intentionally partner with parents and the broader church family to strengthen discipleship in the home. In addition, this role provides oversight for children's and college ministries, helping ensure a clear path of discipleship from childhood through young adulthood.

Main ResponsibilitiesSpiritual LeadershipShepherd students through biblical teaching, discipleship, and by modeling a Christ-centered life.

Build meaningful relationships with students and their families.

Lead weekly youth gatherings.

Plan and oversee retreats, mission trips, and outreach events that foster spiritual growth and evangelism.

Encourage, equip, and support family discipleship; serving as a resource for parents.

Develop student leaders and create pathways for service and leadership within the church. Program Oversight & AdministrationProvide oversight for children's and college ministries, equipping leaders and volunteers for effective discipleship.

Recruit, train, and support a team of adult volunteers.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents about ministry events and opportunities.

Submit annual budgets and ministry plans.

Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall life and mission of the church. QualificationsA clear personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.

Meets biblical qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).A heart for students and their families.

Humble, teachable, and team-oriented.

Demonstrated ability to lead both spiritually and administratively.

Experience in student ministry (volunteer or paid) preferred.

Bible college or seminary degree is a plus, but not required for the right candidate. Ideal CandidateMinistry PhilosophyLoves students and disciples them toward Jesus.
