Our Columbus office is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated attorney to join our team and serve our community with excellence, integrity, and compassion. Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Attorney to handle criminal defense cases and a limited number of civil matters in our Columbus, GA office. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for someone who thrives in the courtroom, takes ownership of their caseload, and enjoys working in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases from arraignment through resolution Handle occasional civil litigation matters as assigned Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence Conduct legal research and case analysis Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner Attend and advocate in court regularly Participate in strategy sessions and firm meetings
What We're Looking For:
Georgia-licensed attorney in good standing 1-5 years of criminal law experience preferred (civil litigation experience a plus) Strong courtroom presence and legal writing skills A self-starter who takes initiative without needing constant oversight A team player who contributes to a collaborative culture Highly organized, reliable, and committed to client service
