Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior-Level Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and possess a comprehensive understanding of various legal practices. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and proficiency in legal research and documentation. The Family Law Paralegal will support attorneys by preparing legal documents, conducting research, and managing case files to ensure efficient case management. Responsibilities Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation. Conduct legal research using tools to support case strategies. Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts. Manage case files through document management systems ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases. Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case progress and updates. Organize and manage schedules for attorneys, including court dates and client meetings. Perform data entry tasks related to case management and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with other legal staff on various projects related to family law cases. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience, particularly in family law. Familiarity with legal software including MyCase, or similar document management systems. Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents with a keen focus on attention to detail . Excellent organizational skills. Ability to conduct thorough legal research and apply findings effectively in case preparation. Proficient in administrative tasks including filing, clerical duties, and maintaining office organization. Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues. Experience with litigation processes and understanding of relevant laws. Understanding and adherence to the State Bar of Georgia Code of Ethics. A proactive approach to project management within a fast-paced legal environment.
