Job Description
We are partnering with a long standing, well-respected law firm in Des Moines that is seeking an attorney to join its growing Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing complex financial and commercial matters, working directly with clients, and taking an active role in developing case strategy.
The firm is open to attorneys with 2-7+ years of relevant, transferable experience and will consider candidates at the Associate, Senior Attorney, or Of Counsel level depending on experience. This could also be a great opportunity for someone looking to relocate to Iowa or the Des Moines area and join an established firm for the long term.
Handle bankruptcy proceedings, collections, loan enforcement, and related commercial disputes.
Appear in bankruptcy, state, and federal court for hearings and contested matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal filings.
Advise clients on bankruptcy-related issues and develop effective legal strategies.
Manage matters independently while collaborating with attorneys and partners on complex cases.
