Associate Attorney - Toxic Tort Litigation - Plaintiff (2+ Years)

Starting at $85,000 (up to $125,000 for candidates with 3+ years of directly relevant experience) The Opportunity A growing plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its trial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator who enjoys being immersed in case strategy, motion practice, and discovery while developing expertise in toxic tort litigation. The firm is looking for someone who can contribute immediately by handling active litigation files and quickly taking depositions in both Missouri and Illinois. While prior toxic tort experience is not required, the successful candidate must have a genuine interest in developing that expertise and building a long-term career in this practice area. If you enjoy being the attorney who digs into the details, develops litigation strategy, and helps build cases from the ground up, this could be an outstanding fit. What You'll Do Manage active litigation files with increasing responsibility Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents Take and defend depositions in Missouri and Illinois Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy Work closely with experienced trial attorneys on complex toxic tort and personal injury matters Prepare cases for mediation, hearings, and trial Develop specialized experience in toxic tort litigation Qualifications Active Missouri Bar admission required Illinois Bar admission or ability to obtain admission preferred 2+ years of civil litigation experience Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery Ability to independently handle depositions shortly after joining Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills Desire to develop a long-term practice in toxic tort litigation Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $85,000 Up to $125,000 for candidates with 3+ years of highly relevant litigation experience Comprehensive benefits package Mentorship from experienced trial attorneys Opportunity to build a niche practice in toxic tort litigation Long-term growth within a successful and expanding firm Why This Opportunity?
