Job Description

Position Responsibilities:
Providing knowledgeable and practical legal advice to human resources professionals and other company leaders regarding day-to-day employment law issues, including discipline, performance management, non-discrimination, non-harassment, wage and hour practices, background checks and drug testing, and employment law compliance issues; Providing guidance to human resources professionals on ADA interactive process discussions, FMLA and other leave-related compliance issues; Managing a docket of employment law litigation matters in coordination with outside employment counsel; Responding to attorney demand letters and agency administrative charges involving employment-related claims; Developing company policies and associated materials in response to applicable legal developments Developing and delivering training to HR professionals on employment law topics; Drafting and negotiating settlement and separation agreements; Drafting OWBPA and WARN notices / disclosures; Legal research and preparation of written materials as necessary in furtherance of counseling, compliance, litigation and related matters; and Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Juris Doctorate and 4 to 6 years of related experience at a major law firm and/or corporate legal department Admission to a U.S. state bar with an active license and compliance with requirements for in-house practice in the State of Illinois Benefits At the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees.
