Job Duties Essential Duties:
Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess legal needs and build lasting relationships Design, draft, and implement comprehensive estate plans including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives Advise clients on business planning matters including entity selection, formation, governance, and restructuring for asset protection and tax efficiency Develop and execute tax planning strategies for individuals, families, and business owners Prepare and review transactional documents including operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, real estate deeds, and leases Counsel clients on asset protection strategies and implementation Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and business succession planning Oversee paralegal and support staff on client files Maintain ongoing client relationships consistent with our unlimited communications model
Additional Duties:
Attend and participate in client signing meetings Collaborate with CPAs, financial advisors, and other professionals on client matters Contribute to firm culture, training, and the continuous improvement of systems and processes Any other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Active bar admission in Louisiana (required) High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-attorney clients Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF/Acrobat, and general technology Strong organizational and time management skills Diligent work ethic and desire to continually grow and learn Education & Experience Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school (required) Active Louisiana Bar license in good standing (required) Experience in estate planning, tax, or business law (preferred) LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning (preferred, but not required) Notary Public commission (preferred, but not required) Ready to apply?
