Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a client-focused practice in Framingham, Massachusetts. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload that includes criminal defense and plaintiff-side civil matters, with meaningful responsibility in court, negotiations, and case strategy. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong advocacy skills, and a commitment to guiding clients through complex legal matters with clarity and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for clients in criminal proceedings, including court appearances, pretrial motions, plea discussions, and trial preparation.
  • Manage misdemeanor and other serious criminal defense matters involving a range of criminal allegations while developing case strategy tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Oversee plaintiff-side cases such as personal injury and employment disputes from initial evaluation through resolution, whether by settlement or trial.
  • Prepare litigation documents including complaints, motions, correspondence, settlement materials, and other case-related filings.
  • Conduct discovery activities, take and defend depositions, and build factual records that support strong legal arguments.
  • Negotiate effectively with insurers, opposing counsel, and other parties to pursue favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Ready cases for mediation, arbitration, hearings, and trial by organizing evidence, witnesses, and legal theories.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, offering practical legal advice and clear updates throughout the life of each matter.
  • Work closely with firm leadership to refine litigation strategy and support the continued growth of the practice through high-quality representation.
