This role will provide legal guidance on consumer-facing advertising and marketing initiatives across social media, SMS, email, web, direct mail, and other channels. Key Responsibilities Review and advise on consumer-facing marketing and advertising content. Advise on SMS marketing, email marketing, outbound calling, consent collection, opt-out requirements, and preference management. Review advertising claims, disclosures, testimonials, endorsements, influencer content, promotions, and sweepstakes. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. 4-8 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a law firm supporting advertising, marketing, consumer protection, or communications compliance matters. Strong working knowledge of advertising law and
TCPA, CTIA
carrier rules, and
CAN-SPAM.
Ability to provide clear, practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment. Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Experience in insurance, financial services, telecommunications, or another highly regulated industry. Location Bethesda, MD; Cleveland, OH, New York, NY. (Hybrid three days a week) Annual Salary $135,300.00 - $235,750.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations. At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
