Job Description:
U.S. Distribution & Trade (USDT) is the legal partner to the U.S. sales, dealer network, and aftersales groups, advising on all aspects of the manufacturer-dealer relationship. This work includes franchise law compliance, dealer operations and disputes, pricing and incentive programs, vehicle allocation, warranty matters, and other dealer-facing initiatives. USDT is seeking a Staff Attorney to advise business partners and manage dealer disputes and related litigation.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice and counsel to Stellantis business groups on issues affecting the manufacturer-dealer relationship, including interpretation of dealer agreements and matters involving dealer franchise law, vehicle and parts sales, warranty, and audit Draft and review documents related to dealer agreements and dealer transactions, including letters of intent, notices, and dealer correspondence Manage dealer-related franchise litigation with outside counsel, including discovery, case strategy, and coordination with internal stakeholders Support the development and refinement of business policies and programs, including risk analysis and document drafting Our Benefits

Basic Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a strong academic background 3+ years of experience in an outside law firm setting, preferably in commercial litigation Admitted to practice law in at least one state
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automotive franchise laws or other complex statutory or regulatory frameworks Business-minded, people-oriented approach with the ability to deliver practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify issues, assess risk, and develop clear options and recommendations for business stakeholders in collaboration with senior attorneys Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters and collaborate effectively with appropriate supervision Sound judgment and ownership mindset, including the ability to escalate issues appropriately Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts to non-lawyers Interest in developing a deep understanding of the automotive business
